I still have Foucault's Pendulum unread on my bedside table. It'll be a different thing to start it now.

A significant loss for scholarship and for literature. William of Baskerville is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. IPR

I'm sadly reminded of a James Blish's short story (can't remember it's name) where he formulated a pattern on people representing respective occupations dying "in series".

I still have Foucault's Pendulum unread on my bedside table. It'll be a different thing to start it now.

I was about to start reading Baudolino.

Pretty sad Sad I've only read The Name of the Rose and The Prague Cemetery but both were great.

Never heard of him before, but as I said elsewhere, his name sounds like it could easily be of an emoviolence band.
