Trump said 9/11 was Bush's fault (not in a conspiracy way, but because he didn't do as much as he could have to prevent it and keep us safe).

Also called Bush a "Liar" on Iraq WMDs.

Which are things the Democratic candidates have never gone as far as to say.

Trump was blasted by the GOP elite over this, saying it destroyed his chances with the military vote, especially in South Carolina where it's over a third of voters.

Dubya himself personally campaigned for Jeb.

Traditionally, for 15 years now, the GOP line has been "vote for us, Bush kept us safe." Defining itself by its response to 9/11 and its rally to Bush, by defending the war in Iraq. Trump has destroyed that.

And then Trump wins big, including the military vote.

GOP as the party of 9/11, is gone. The George W. Bush coalition is officially destroyed. Everything they believed about their base has been upturned.

Quite amazing how Trump was able to take on the Bush family machine and destroy it within the Republican party. Jeb Bush was even bringing out all of the stops towards the end (Bringing in Barbara and George W. Bush for example)

If you don't think he is capable of doing the same thing to Hillary Clinton, you are delusional.

I mean, don't we have posters on this forum who weren't even old enough to remember 9/11?
