The absolute worst restuarant; they make you wait an hour for terrible food, and there isn't even enough of it to fill you.

Most people don't want real Italian food.  They want butter and cheese and oil and garlic with a little bread, pasta, and salad.

Strongly dislike, long waits, overrated microwaved food, fairly high prices for a chain, don't like Italian food anyway.

The food at Olive Garden is fine. If you did a blind taste test with Olive Garden and some random Mom & Pop Italian restaurant, I doubt most people tell the difference and many would probably prefer Olive Garden.

That said Carrabba's is better.

I think you should give independent Italian restaurants a bit more credit. I doubt they ever serve atrocities such as this: https://youtu.be/qJxnAR8Vs0I?t=1m55s

It's probably the restaurant I've been to where I've had  the most varied experiences with my meal. Sometimes it's downright awful, down to the free bread and tasteless zeppoli. Other times it's delicious, the bread and zeppoli warm and delightful. Really a bit of a crapshoot, though I lean positive.

A big part of the appeal for me is that they have some of the best fried mozzarella I have ever tasted. Regardless of how the rest of the meal tastes, they are always a highlight, and frankly what I look forward to the most.
