He didn't immediately destroy the New Deal, desegregated the armed forces and got rid of MacArthur.

Doesn't overwrite the unnecessary murder of innocents in Japan, his war crimes in Bolivia and his anti-labor/strikebreaking crusade. HP.

He may have been during his youth, but as politican and especially as president, he was a civil rights champion.
