No, because hardly anybody on 'the left' knows who Cornel West is.  Does he have an equivalent syndicated radio show like Alex Jones does or something?

Cornel West is more well known than Alex Jones is....he HAS to be right?  Just because you have a syndicated radio show doesn't mean most people know who you are.

(I have no idea how big Jones's show is, the only time I ever hear about him is when somebody is making fun of his stupid conspiracy BS)

I would say that fewer people on the left know who Cornel West is than people on the right knowing who Alex Jones is. If you would've picked Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, I would say that they're more well-known, but Cornel West is a particularly poor example if you're comparing him and Jone's popularity.

Anecdotally, I know several people who know and listen to Alex Jones. I know of no one who knows Cornel West.

This reminds me a little of Newt Gingrich in 2012 complaining about the Democrats for apparently taking their strategy "right out of Saul Alinsky's playbook."

A reasonably well-known and media-savvy African-American philosopher/academic who is critical of Obama and has been for some time. Left-wing, not right-wing.

Not sure what your are referring to but considering you are attributing that quote to a black PhD who was a professor at Harvard and Princeton and is currently teaching at a seminary of all places I'm going to guess a lot of context has been left out... if the quote is true.  Just guessing though.

Gingrich is very intellectual. When I helped the Democrats take the playbook, I could have sworn they said it was Sarah Pain's.


As for West, at least Jones has actual political views besides with "racism, agree with Obama on policy, but Obama is bad."
