Which members would still be in their respective parties?

I would stay because if I leave the radicals win... Okay... I might leave if it really looked like there was no chance of change what so ever

CARLHAYDEN, htmldon, possibly Richius (he's extremely partisan).

I thought Richius is conservative.

I think WalterMitty and bullmoose might stay in the Republican Party.  SamSpade would stay in the Democratic Party.

Bullmoose, SamSpade, and CarlHayden would stay put. WalterMitty might switch. Richius would definitely switch.

Richius thinks that the Republican party still supports small government.  I don't see why he'd switch then if he won't now.

They do more so than the Democrats!

I'd say they're about the same.

Who is this? And how come he has 5000 posts and I don't remember him?

Besides, he last posted in 2006 but was "active" (online) three weeks ago.

EDIT: This ATFFL fella, not Carl. I know who Carl is.

According to some, I would probably be happier Tongue

Actually when I first became a Republican it was at a time that I was very, very conservative - so who knows.  That being said, I identify more with the local Republicans so that might be determinative as well.  If I had to be in the same party with Shep Wilbun and Reginald French, and be against Mark Luttrell or Bill Gibbons, it would probably drive me insane.  I don't know how Democrats in Shelby County sleep at night.

He was labeled a troll by some, and drove a couple posters away, IIRC.

You think the GOP taking a better stance on social issues would win out on the dems becoming economically enlightened?

I certainly wouldn't stay with the Democratic Party. I am all ready farther to the left than the Democratic party.
