Mine stands for "Tom Daschle 2004".

Since it's not too obvious, I could pretend it stands for something else in the unlikely event that I'm no longer a fan of Daschle. Tongue

Username- I like computers and I used a random number generator on my ti-84 for the 89 part of it

Display Name- I am a  moderate and since people call that moderate hero here I chose that and the Republican stands for that my two favorite candidates are republicans

Ted Bessell was an actor that passed away in 1996.

As for the display name, I changed it to something similar before an important bass audition to boost confidence. It didn't work.

Mine is my actual name. It just seemed appropriate for a political forum since it's the name of what is now a critical swing state. I'm not that creative Sad

Username: Libertarian Enjoying Internet Nearly All Day. (Okay, okay, it's "Daniel" backwards. But it's a kick-ass backronym, right?)

Display Name: that, plus I was elected Governor in Atlasia in August, re-elected in December, and despite my attempts for a promotion last weekend, will continue to hold that office until April. I'm not a real Governor, which I'm sure comes as a shock to many of you.

If I end up out of office I might become "Fox News Contributor Leinad," since that's what a former Governor/failed Presidential Candidate from the right-of-center party would be doing in real life.

So admittedly, when I joined Atlas, I saw a bunch of people had names like "Governor ____" or "Senator _____", so I thought I would do something along those lines. Of course I realized that all of those names were related to Atlasia and felt silly so I dropped the governor part.

But Illiniwek.....that of course is a nod to the Illiniwek tribe and Chief Illiniwek, the honored symbol of the University of Illinois. I was the loudest supporter for the Chief in my four years at UIUC, and I eagerly await his return from exile. Screw (former) Chancellor Wise and long life the CHIEF!

I think this now means you're obligated to become a Governor in Atlasia. Tongue

84285 is just a random number. Figueira is a town in Brazil whose postal code is 84285.

According to Wikipedia, a Beaver is a 'primarily nocturnal, large, semiaquatic rodent'.  Beaver was probably taken, so I just acquired the second iteration of the username.

84285 is just a random number. Figueira is a town in Brazil whose postal code is 84285.

Did I introduce you to that? I seem to remember saying that in some sort of "say something about the proceeding poster's username" thread or whatever.

(I hope I did, because if I'm attributing the actions of others to myself, I've entered a new level of narcissism.)

Username: This one's pretty damn obvious

Display name: A slightly more subtle iteration of the first, without the Political Party preference. There were some end parts, but neither are really applicable anymore.

Nathan is my real name. 'Bow all your heads to our adored Mary Katherine' is a line from one of my favorite novels, We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson.

Username: A not so clever pun that I liked back when I joined.

Display name: Another pun combining Khan and Kanye West.
