I would like to say congrats to both King and Dibble for so swiftly, gracfully and merrcilessly stabbing their running mates in the back.

No Priciples=No vote

They both said that they had previously discussed this with their running mates, who presumably were okay with it.

Not to speak for Bono, but I know that he was very exictied about the opportunity, whether or not he said he was okay with it is really not the issue.

Bono told John Dibble he really didn't care what happened as long as he won.

He probably did.

Well, I wasn't really counting on your vote in the first place, Supersoulty, considering you are an opponent. Second, the first thing I made sure to do before I even put the offer on the table was to ask Bono - I'd rather retain good relations with him than win.

Very interesting. Good luck to the ticket, however it may be arranged.

Dibble/King guarantees my second preference, and there's about a 1/3rd chance of a first preference. (The other 2/3rds is for Keystone Phil / MHS2002).

I was tending towards preferencing both of you below Soulty and above Phil before, so this doesn't really change anything about my likely vote.
I called it "interesting" because of its implications for the race at large.
Just thought I'd clear that up.

This is very suprising and also a good move on both of your parts. I would preference highly either a King/Dibble or Dibble/King ticket. I believe though that this ticket would have more support if it had King in the Presidential spot while Dibble was in the VP spot, although either way I believe it is a good ticket.

Dibble/King, but either way makes a great ticket.

Wait, I forgot King supports a tax hike on the rich! Dibble all the way!

$4000 more a year on average for them (about a week's earnings) and $4200 less a year on average for the rest (about a month or two's earnings).

I'd rather just go with a flat tax - having just finished filling out my FAFSA for the year I'm quite tired of the complication of it all.

I would rather John get the presidency because I'm too lazy to change my banner ad.  Also I think he understands libertarianism better, but he knows he'll have to make some compromises to work effectively.
