SC exit (from CNN):

41% of Democratic primary voters are gun owners.

Could this favor Sanders or not?

I wonder what Sanders is going to say tonight, since he can't use that "it's basically a draw" line when he loses by 30 points.

He'll say that there are more states than just SC, same thing he was saying before today.

"A year ago, I was projected to lose this state by seventy points.  Today I lost it by just twenty.  That says a lot about our supporters and the strength of this campaign.  We are leading a revolution here, people are inspired and I think we can really make a difference."

After all, back before Sanders was even a candidate he had 3% and Hillary had like 75%.

Most gun owners favor stricter gun laws so I don't think its matters.

Edit: Interesting fact, South Carolina has one of the higher percentages of gun ownership in the country.

If that were true, the NRA wouldn't even exist.

Sanders has a rally in MN tonight. Doors open at 5:30 local (in just a few minutes)  but Sanders will reportedly be in the air on his way to MN when polls close in SC in about half an hour.   Not sure when he gets on stage but presumably after Clinton was declared winner and after she gives her speech. I suspect Sanders will start with congratulation for Clinton, say something about how he started polling at 2% and then do his basic stump speech. Essentially like Nevada.

He's campaigning hard. He already had 17,000 people show up to 2 rallies in Texas today.

MSNBC too.

Chuck Todd saying he's surprised how small of an effort Sanders made to win SC plus a lot of super Tuesday states.

Good, the more she can frame the media narrative as Clinton v. Trump, as though the general election has already begun, the more Sanders starts to fade into irrelevancy.
Heaven knows everyone in the media is sick of the Sanders shtick and ready to write about a Clinton vs. Trump smackdown.

I'm guessing the exit poll toplines will show something like a 67-33 race.

Hope it also has a mutual benefit for Trump in the GOP primaries as well.

I actually agree with his point that Bernie at this point is just trying to get enough delegates to have a say with the platform/convention and get a prime speaking slot.
