Yes, because they do, and because police violence is a huge problem.

I'll just put this out there...

I don't think that's the angle I'd take, but whatever, different strokes for different folks.  There are perfectly good reasons to criticize them though, and one can do it and not be a racist.  And there are perfectly good reasons to support them, and one can do it and not be a racist.

Yes; some people don't understand that the phrase "Black Lives Matter" does not mean "Only black lives matter".

I'll play moderate hero.  The idea?  Absolutely.  Racism (especially institutional racism) is alive and well, and we've flat out ignored (at best) and maybe even encouraged it.  However, I find its extreme elements and several of its antics unfortunate.

Yes, though I definitely don't support some of the extreme statements and ways of protesting (blocking traffic) that I've heard and seen over the last year or two.

some nice reasoning there

although I suppose giving none at all is better than just out and out admitting that you don't care at all for blacks

No, and while there certainly have been cases of police stepping way over the line which should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law (and I do support some of their proposed reforms), I've yet to see any statistical evidence that police actually assault and kill blacks at a rate disproportionate to their rate of crime.

So when BLM has some "extreme elements", it's bad and requires a moderate hero justification, but when Donald Trump is like 99.99% certain to be the nominee of the Republican Party, you still willingly identify with it?

Nope, they are a black supremacist group who believes police should turn a blind eye toward black criminals.

I don't even know where to begin with this trash dumpster of a post.

Do you have any evidence to back up this claim?

Nah, I think he's generally leading the charge from the extreme fringes. He brought up mosques before Donald Trump existed.

EDIT: Sorry, but I really don't see how they're comparable.  The two-party system isn't going anywhere, so I figure I should pick a party to influence rather than sit on the sidelines and complain (especially in a closed caucus state like Iowa).  BLM is not exactly the same thing, obviously.  I criticize the Republican Party (or at least its more unfortunate elements) regularly, and I refuse to be held responsible for every Republican's actions and words just because of how I registered.

For me all life matters the same, all is valuable. But that is not the issue where I live so I guess I will not vote for no or yes.
