It's a perfectly reasonable thing to tell Christie - he's going to be on most (all?) of the Sunday Morning shows tomorrow, so he needs to go home and be well-rested

I'm sure Trump was really fed up of Christie and ready to get rid of him after fifteen years of being buddies and Christie eviscerating Trump's main opponent and praising Trump to the heavens all day.

It didn't really sound like he meant it in a hostile way.

I definitely did not take it to be malicious, and Christie has to be in NYC studios for the Sunday shows tomorrow morning.

The thing that's weird about this is "it's over there."  Seems really aggressive, like "stop looking at me, your plane's over there."

Then again, now that I think about it, Christie may be taking a separate plane back to NY while Trump flies to Texas or wherever on the Trump plane.

Clearly Trump is the wise commanding general who is looking out for his loyal Rubio slaying protégé and just making sure he gets some rest before the next adventure on the way to making American great again.

Yea, they are probably parting ways at this point with Christie heading to do the media circuit and Trump going to one of the other Super Tuesday states.

"Go home and get some sleep.

There is my private jet for you to fly home"

My interpretation. Storm in a tea cup.

Donald Trump is the most watched man on Earth. All the attention, negative or otherwise is simply cementing his candidacy for the job of President.

The more hate from the media and the Democrats, the more his situation will improve.

Its akin to giving media coverage to terrorism. If CNN did not run it on their home page and news service for 14 days straight, it would not happen.

CNN dont like "The Donald" and i have noticed a conspicuous absence of his name from their site since Nevada.

It seemed to me like Trump is sick of Christie hogging his attention and is somewhat annoyed by what is probably sucking up in the hopes of getting selected as a VP candidate. If that is indeed the case, I'm glad Trump told him to shove it.

The reason it sounds hostile seems to be that that's how TRUMP's voice always sounds. Sans that, it seems largely to be "Thanks, buddy, hit the road, we've got a lotta work to do!" I dunno. TRUMP could just be stringing Christie around on a leash as his pet dog to attack Young Marco; I like Christie--to an extent--so I hope that's not the case and they're more willing partners. I'm sure a few great books that come out between 2017 and 2020 will help clarify this.
