Ron Paul is a known, rabid anti-semite. As he gets older it seems to be his only consistent policy platform. Of course he's voting for the BDSer with the friend of Holocaust deniers on her ticket.

There's nothing "anti-semitic" about BDS.

Anyway, Ron Paul is and always will be a horrible human being, but he is correct here: Stein easily has the best foreign policy platform of any of the "major" candidates.

There's plenty of Jewish anti-semites out there like Gilad Atzmon, Norm Finkelstein, and Miko Peled. Stein is another one.

And lol, "Nothing anti-semitic about BDS". You must have missed literally everything they've done since they were created.

This is a good point actually and probably explains why the old nutter is endorsing the most openly anti-Jew ticket in the race.

It's the 2016 election cycle, and this is what you people are most shocked by?

No, but it's just another brick in the wall.

Paul endorsing Stein isn't a surprise to me considering his foreign policy beliefs, Johnson being a bit too pragmatic, and the fact that Paul has a very on again/off again relationship with the Libertarian Party. I disagree with him over it, but I respect the logic behind it.

While I'd be supporting Johnson if anyone not named Donald Trump or Rand Paul were on the national ticket, I've been disappointed n his campaign so far. While I initially liked (and still do) the pick of Bill Weld, I was hoping Gary Johnson would run as the Gary Johnson I supported in 2012 and that Bill Weld would attract the moderate Republicans who aren't necessary any more inclined to Johnson than Trump. Instead, Johnson and Weld have consistently flipped from being an extremely tedious "fiscally conservative but socially liberal Smiley" style radical centrist to flopping over into the land of the extremely whiny elitist Republicans like Christine Todd Whitman who keep crying "its my party too!" except for when Ron Paul pretty much stood alone against the Republican war machine. Ron Paul has been fighting these people. Is he supposed to endorse Gary Johnson for becoming one?

Jill Stein is not the first Green endorsed by Paul, and libertarians and the left have worked hand in hand time and time again to achieve common goals. Just look at the relationship between Paul and Bernie in Congress-it should be no wonder that Paul is considering Stein. The Bernie-revolution had a lot of traits that had more in cause with Paul than the Trump Train or the #NeverTrump movement.

Not a good metaphor. Well done steak is a piece of rubbery charcoal.

Anyway, I still don't really see a credible link to this "story".

Not sure what point he's trying to make, given that broccoli is better than steak.

Ron Paul was a close friend of Dennis Kucinich during their times together in the House. He's also had nice things to say about Ralph Nader.

He supported the Constitution Party in 2008, snubbing Bob Barr and John McCain.

Did Ron Paul simply not endorse in 2012?  Romney's folks were trying real hard to get him to endorse the ticket, but I don't remember him ever doing so.

RP said kind of mediocrely nice things about Gary Johnson in 2012.

Tepid praise but an endorsement was not made. Johnson 1.0 was a lot better than Johnson 2.0. If he didn't get Paul's support then, why would he get it now?

So earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that 12 of Trumps opponents have endorsed him, and the ones who haven't are Bush, Kasich, Pataki, and Graham. Have either of those four endorsed Trump yet?

Not unless it happened quietly and I missed it.

I'm on a college campus with one of the largest Jewish student populations in the country and a very strong BDS/SJP movement. While it's not necessarily anti-Semitic through and through or by design, there are undeniably a lot of anti-Semites in this movement and anti-Semitic tropes and talking points that it uses.
