I wonder how many Republicans with go with Le Pen.

Anyway, I'd vote Chirac of course.

Given the choice, Chirac.  I just wish there were a better choice!

Chirac, of course.  I find it rather strange that no party can get more than 20% of the vote.  If some smaller parties were to get together they would have a good chance at getting to round 2.

Why would you vote for le Pen?
Chirac is a populist neo-con just like you.
le Pen is an actual economical conservative.

Could you quote the posts of the person you are talking to?

anyways, the front national wants to abolish the income tax, reduce the state's role in the economy to that of a mere arbitror, use "popular capitalism" as a means to privatize state corporations(except energy), etc
You can't judge economical conservatism by one's stance of international free trade.

No, because you can't quote the original poll question.

OH, then you mean "no one at all".

Anyways, sorry for my rant. Sad

You're welcome. It was confusing. Plus, I actually noticed that just I hit "post", but decided not to do anything about it. Smiley

Le Pen.

Given his notoriety, the National Assembly would watch him like a hawk, thus curtailing what may be his harsher edge.  Chirac, on the other hand, has tried to rule as a demigod, which is far worse than Le Pen would have done.

I'd have voted for Chirac - half-heartedly, of course. It would have been an anti - Le Pen vote

Le Pen/Le Pen.

Though humorously the new French PM lists Napoleon and De Gaulle as his 2 heroes.
