This is a very balanced piece examining the role Clinton's aide had in setting up her private email server.

The NYT's reports:

A former aide to Hillary Clinton has turned over to the F.B.I. computer security logs from Mrs. Clinton’s private server, records that showed no evidence of foreign hacking, according to people close to a federal investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s emails.

The security logs bolster Mrs. Clinton’s assertion that her use of a personal email account to conduct State Department business while she was the secretary of state did not put American secrets into the hands of hackers or foreign governments. The former aide, Bryan Pagliano, began cooperating with federal agents last fall, according to interviews with a federal law enforcement official and others close to the case. Mr. Pagliano described how he set up the server in Mrs. Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, N.Y., and according to two of the people, he provided agents the security logs. The law enforcement official described the interview as routine. Most of those close to the case spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the continuing investigation.

The article further points out how this aide has been cooperating with the FBI since last fall; no bombshells have been reported during the investigation and classified emails have only been classified as that "after the fact." The article concludes:

"Many of the “secret” and “top secret” emails were written or forwarded by Mrs. Clinton’s senior aides. None of the emails were marked classified at the time."

So, do you still think Madame Secretary has an imminent indictment pending?

The worst thing is that idiots all over the internet have convinced themselves that this is what will finally take down Hillary Clinton. People on this forum, some of them very smart, have their heads lodged comfortably up behinds when it comes to viewing the email affair. The worst part, for me at least, is that Clinton is basically being tried in the court of public opinion as opposed to in a court of law, where we all know that there isn't going to be any indictment, and the FBI will likely publish a report clearing Clinton of any wrongdoing. Regardless, certain people will continue parroting rightwing lies simply because they dislike the Clintons, alleging a conspiracy where there is none.

That about sums it up. A lot simply don't like her, and thus latch onto these fake scandals because they need to believe she is guilty of something to validate themselves. Suddenly using a private email server is the WORST crime ever!
