http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/debbie-wasserman-schultz-paylenders-cfpb_us_56d4ce38e4b03260bf77e8fc

This was the last straw for me.  The DNC's shenanigans in doing everything it could to ease a Clinton nomination really irked me.  Nobody deserves an easy ride and that's what the DNC is trying to do.

But then the chairwoman of the DNC joins the fight against the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) that Obama helped start and tapped Elizabeth Warren to head.

Basically, Debbie wants Democrats to support a bill that would remove most of the coming regulations on payday advance lenders, who charge predatory interest rates to customers who are often the least able to afford such rates.

I really hope Hillary comes out against this (she probably won't).

The last straw for me was a while ago. See this.

I don't see how many sane could have supported keeping her after the 2014 election disaster.

Hillary did come out against it.

From Twitter:

Payday lending is a travesty.  DWS should be ashamed.  Are there petitions anywhere?

That is a good question.  Maybe she knows where the bodies are buried or something.

Seriously, she's the lonest-serving DNC chair since the sixties. How the [Inks] did that happen?

Payday lending reflects the harsh reality that people are badly underpaid -- so underpaid that they must turn to loan-sharks to meet a short-lived bad situation.

People need to be paid enough so that they in fact have some savings in case the car breaks down or the refrigerator gives out.

Here's what is happening in an easy-to-understand way:

Debbie reverses Obama policy of not taking big corporate interest money.

Immediately she is awash in money from corporate interests that happen to profit immensely from payday lending.

Suddenly she is lobbying other Democrats to support the payday lenders.

Now follow the money:

Debbie gets a big donation from PayDay lender corporations in return for legislation that will allow them to make profits far larger than said donation.

Those profits come exclusively from desperate poor people with no savings or backups.

Debbie got paid to endorse a big transfer of money from the poorest of the working poor to the richest of the rich.

And they get to pretend it is a vital service to people when, in reality, even if wages don't rise, there are alternatives that would still provide emergency lending to the poor (like postal banking).

GTFO Debbie and quit screwing the poor out of their money.

DWS is undermining the Democrats' entire low income friendly message. Obama needs to lean on her for a resignation. Payday lending business models are evil, and it's very awkward for a Democrat to be caught in bed with that industry.

My question is, how would more regulations on payday lenders benefit the poor?

The root of their problem is 40 years of wage stagnation making it impossible to do any more than live paycheck to paycheck, and often not even make it that far.

Cap payday lenders' interest rates or forbid them from charging service fees and they're going to pull out.

Then the single mom who needs $1,500 to fix her car isn't going to be able to borrow any money, period.

Obama put her there to get the Zionists who accused him of being anti-Israel off his back (and because she is good at raising money).
Otherwise his contempt for her isn't exactly a secret.

Cuomo wouldn't want a position where he has to even pretend he's loyal to the Democratic Party.

Not to mention that national Democrats don't want him anywhere near a position of power.

Unfortunately the truth is that Obama is a lame duck at this point and while he realizes that his appointment of DWS was a mistake, he probably doesn't want to expend the political capital to get rid of her.

I don't think Hillary will be keeping DWS around if she becomes President:
