I know that this is unlikely.

Let's just say that Trump wins the GOP primaries and HILLARY wins the DEM primaries like expected. Let's just say a week before election day, HILLARY is leading Trump by 5 to 7 points according to most polls. Trump admits to the world that he's been a secret liberal Democrat all this time, and was running to help his friend HILLARY. He calls all of his supporters 'bigoted idiots.' No serious third party candidate runs. How does this turn out? How would conservatives and independents vote? How would the map look like?

He wouldn't lose any supporters.  His supporters would think that he was making some sort of joke and would still vote for him.

I've been thinking about this also. Hillary wins in a landslide, but her favorable ratings would be incredibly low, as many would suspect her to be in on the act.

This is what I think would happen as well, and I especially agree that Trump would get demolished, but Clinton starts out with low approval ratings. The Libertarians would get a record amount of votes. Voter turnout would be extremely low.
