Sanders getting 59% or 58% in Colorado was a big surprise to me as it was a closed caucus.

Okla has Independents for the 1st time so I thought maybe Sanders could win. MN, also I didn't expect  60%+ but predicted a win.

Loosing MA & winning OK/MN/CO was weird though especially losing Boston by 20K Votes.

Clinton getting 80%+ in Alabama, didn't expect those margins.

GOP Race - No surprise, have given up on that after Trump's takeover

I had expected Sanders to do a lot better in the Appalachian parts of VA, TN, GA, AL, and rural Texas. I thought they would vote like Oklahoma but I guess Sanders not putting resources there cost him these potential votes.
If you look at my prediction I saw MA going Clinton and OK Sanders, so that wasn't really a surprise for me.

Sanders also did really poor in Berkshire, MA (which I thought was basically VT), and really well in the cape. So the MA results were as I expected, but the geographic division was completely unexpected.

Yeah, the MA map was very surprising to me, although I guess it makes sense in retrospect.

Honestly, I was most surprised by ShadowoftheAbyss deciding to support Donald Trump after having done everything but call Trump the anti-Christ.  Then again, Trump's flip-flopped on pretty much everything so I guess it makes sense in hindsight.  The election results themselves were pretty unremarkable.

I think he switched again, to Gary Johnson.

Many of them:

1. John Kasich nearly beating Trump in Vermont
2. Rubio coming very close in Virginia
3. Cruz coming very close in Arkansas
4. Cruz beating Trump in Oklahoma and Alaska
5. Cruz thumping in Texas
6. Rubio wins in Minnesota, Trump coming in a distant third!

1. Oklahoma going 10 points to Sanders (due to closed primary)
2. Clinton clinching Massachusetts
3. Bernie winning landslides in Minnesota and Colorado

Clinton winning MA, Sanders' backyard.

Sanders won the parts of MA that were in his backyard, though (aside from some towns in Berkshire County) and also all the towns on the NH border. Clinton's victory was due to a strong showing in the Boston area, which has little in common with VT culturally.

I was surprised by the "state pride" / "local awareness", or whatever you want to call it, of the Oklahomans.
Oklahoma is kind of "immured" with their support for Sanders. No bordering county (probably including New Mexico) voted for him, even the Texas panhandle refused to support him, like all the Sooners were saying: "Oh, I live in the Sooner State, so I have to vote against Clinton."
Has such ever happened before in another state?

Furthermore, Cruz winning Alaska and Sanders winning Minnesota by such a huge margin was truly surprising.

Clinton winning MA wasn't a surprise. In 2008, Obama had Kerry, Patrick and Ted Kennedy and he lost by 15 points.

Either Kasich coming so close in Vermont or the fact Rubio did so poorly overall.  I didn't see too many surprises.

On the Democrats side, the biggest surprise was Bernie winning Oklahoma by over 10 points.
Not sure about the Republican side. Cruz winning Alaska?
