I have a prepeared statement:

On behalf of the Polish people everywhere I would like to express our most sincere apology for Mr. Lewandowski's existence.

That is all. I won't be taking questions.

Just wondering, what would be the maximum punishment in America for a crime of this sort? Not a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely curious here.

It's seems a very minor offense, though he should obviously apologize.

A minor offense...

To me the way he and the campaign reacted is the bigger story. They are more or less a bunch of hacks that completely denied it and then drug Fields through the mud. They made a little thing into a big story.

Yeah, seems like they could easily have dispelled with the story with a different reaction, even with just some sort of non-apology apology. "Sorry if I happened to grab a reorter a bit too roughly as we left, but we were in a hurry, and I didn't want Trump to be bothered". Well, perhaps phrased a bit smoother than that, but something in this regard.

You remember when he was fighting with Cruz about whose wife was hotter, and we thought the election couldn't go any lower? Well...

Why is giving a simple apology so hard for the Trump campaign? Trump won't do it with Heidi and his campaign manager wouldn't do it here. Instead they attacked these women on social media and made molehills into mountains.

I still do not understand how this is a crime. He squeezed in between her and Trump. I must commit this crime 20 times a day! Despicable on the part of the reporter and the police. This is why I support Trump. Enough with the dramatic 'crime' in America. Seriously. Get rid of our absurd criminal justice system. The police are out of control.

Yes, generally most would consider it quite immoral to take into account a person's criminal record when considering them for a position and that should extend to retaining them for a position. The only exception would be being disbarred from the financial industry or control over money after a fraud conviction.

So you're saying Hillary should be able to keep her job if she's convicted?  Because I know Trump believes she shouldn't keep her job.

I do. I'm becoming a semi-big Hillary fan solely because her detractors are an embarrassment. She did nothing criminal let alone wrong.

Of course I want the beautiful Ms. IVANKA to be the first female President, but if we have to settle, then Hillary's not a bad back-up choice.

Oh for Christs sake he moved her out of the way a little aggressively (from the latest video). It's hardly "battery".

This really shouldn't be an issue.

People keep using this as another comparison between the Trump campaign and the rise of the Nazis, and frankly I'm sick of it.  In the early 1930's, women already knew not to get so up close and personal to the brave men running for office, especially not to ask them embarrassing gotcha questions.  Not like today.  Trump and Lewandowski are being very respectful of the fact that women today now have "rights", which unfortunately include lying, exaggerating, asking for it, etc.

well it was aggressive enough for this...

I think that this whole thing could have ended with an apology, but obviously they went a different way.
