I guess our two races are Toomey-McGinty and Van Hollen-Szeliga, then.

Sestak is back up ahead Fetterman again, by the way.

Well, Fetterman clearly ruined this for Sestak. How dare he mess up our plans and decide to run against Sestak!? Clearly progressives need to destroy Fetterman's campaign next time he decides to run for something. Tongue

So Chris Matthews wife, Trone (the ultimate record holder for personal spending in a race), and some other guy are locked in a fairly tight race. Should be interesting.

^They're both well behind Jamie Raskin, though.

Yeah, Fattah is dead. No hope left at this point.

While Democrats booted their corrupt baggage in Fattah, Republicans are looking to be less eager to do the same with Bill Shuster, who now has a lead over Art Halvorson (51%-49%). Super close though.

David Trone and Anthony Brown are definitely the two best guys in the Maryland Democratic Party to send to the House of Representatives and groom for future higher office.

Is that in your opinion as a conservative or seriously? Because Brown was a disaster when he ran for Governor.

That was clearly sarcasm.

Considering your point of view, Raskin will indeed be an amazing Congressman. I thought Trone, as a former Rick Perry supporter, was the least bad of the options here myself, though I am obviously nothing like your typical Maryland Democratic primary voter Tongue

Fetterman being ahead of Sestak is a moral victory to me - I thought he was the easily best candidate and deserved a shot.

Here is a great piece about Fetterman.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/attytood/The-man-that-Bernie-Sanders-forgot.html

Long story short, he endorsed Sanders, ol' Bernie ignored him and Fetterman felt like a schmuck.
The results show a great missed opportunity. If the excuse for not helping Donna Edwards was the she endorsed Clinton then what prevented Sanders from helping this man who could become a valuable ally in the senate?
I hope this isn't the last we hear from him.

Congrats, Lyndon. You went on one of your anti-Sanders rants in a thread that had nothing to do with Sanders whatsoever.

Sanders/Clinton inanity aside, I also hope we'll see more of Fetterman in the future.

What? It's perfectly reasonable to attack Sanders for not following through with his promise of a political revolution, which obviously includes winning downballot as well. Lack of Sanders money/support very well could have been a factor in Fetterman's loss.

Good job contributing nothing yet again, Smith.

You make good points, Turkisblau, but again, this thread had nothing to do with Sanders. I do wish he had helped Fetterman out more, but Lyndon dragged this post out of left field completely.

No... he linked to an article pertaining to Fetterman's senate campaign and its relationship to the national Sanders campaign then discussed another progressive's candidacy in a senate primary. He ended his post by saying that he hopes that it's not the last we hear from Fetterman.

Look, I understand that you dislike Lyndon but you really ought to think critically instead of dismissing everything he has to say.

Josh Shapiro won the Democratic primary for PA Attorney General. Could be a future player for Governor or Senator imo.

He'll definitely run for something else in the future. I could see him putting up a strong challenge in a working class Western PA district where the incumbent Republican is a stale old corporate shill.
