Anything known on the status of Ami Bera? Couldn't find results for his district.

Ahead of Scott Jones 52-48 in primary.
Interesting. I guess (unless Jones attacks him HARD on his troubles) this seat is out of reach for Republicans this year. The NRCC should just not spend money campaign thin Califronia this year, period.

Bera is the one D incumbent I could see losing this year, with Rick Nolan a distant second. If the Republicans are going on the offense at all this year, they have to target it.

California 49

District 49
100.0% ( 400 of 400 ) precincts partially reporting as of June 8, 2016, 4:24 a.m. See FAQs for additional information on how precincts reporting information is determined.
Candidate   Votes   Percent
    Doug Applegate
(Party Preference: DEM)   49,792
45.4%
*   Darrell Issa
(Party Preference: REP)   56,013
51.1%
    Ryan Glenn Wingo
(Party Preference: NPP)   3,764
3.4%

I don't know if this close result is just a result of Democrats having more incentive to turn out for the California primary or if POS Darrell Issa will face a close race in November.

Rest of CA:

29 Slot 2: Alarcon (D)
30 Slot 2: Reed (R)
32 Slot 2: Fisher (R)
37 Slot 2: Wiggins (D)

Next primaries, 6/14: ME, ND, NV, SC, VA. Also DC but there's no mayoral race this year so it's not worth caring about.

It will be fun seeing how VA-02 and NV turn out.

Former DC Mayor Vincent Gray is trying to get his seat back on the DC Council. That's worth checking out.

Some interesting nuggets in CA:

CA-10: Denham + the other Republican got 57% combined here. Maybe not as vulnerable as we thought.

CA-17: Khanna finished slightly ahead of Honda. Ugh.

CA-21: Valadao completely destroyed the Democrats with 58%. Bad sign for November.

CA-31: Perennial loser Joe Baca, who lost his seat to a fellow Democrat in 2012 then got 11% of the vote in 2014, has lost again, this time as a Republican. He got 12% this time, lol.

CA-36: Ruiz dominated with 57%. Pipe dream for Republicans.

CA-49: SHOCK RESULT!!!! The odious Darrell Issa only leads the Democrat 51-45. The other 4% went to a no party affiliation candidate, which makes the results even better for the Democrats. Could this be a sleeper? Issa going down would be so sweet!

CA-52: Peters got 59% when he was supposedly vulnerable. Probably not gonna happen.

AP results pages for June 14, 2016 primaries/elections:

DC
Maine
Nevada
North Dakota
South Carolina
Virginia

2 questions:

1) Should this thread perhaps be renamed from "2016 Congressional Primaries" to "2016 non-Presidential Primaries"?  I don't see a thread like this on the Gubernatorial/Statewide elections thread, perhaps because most states don't have Gubernatorial elections this year and there wouldn't be as much interest in "lower-level" races.  In Maine the only primary for Congress is for the right to lose to Chellie Pingree in ME-01.  But there are several interesting primaries for the State Senate (less so for State House this year in my opinion) plus a Democratic primary for County Commissioner in my district.

2) Does anyone know how best to contact the AP to try to get them to add races for a primary?  They don't have County Commissioner, Judge of Probate and Register of Probate for Maine while they do have County Commissioner races for Nevada (although only contested ones).  The AP's Maine page is also missing Sheriff, for which there will be two primaries on the ballot, but both are uncontested.

2.1) Does Nevada only hold primaries if there are 2 or more candidates on the ballot (or perhaps on the ballot plus qualified write-ins)?  The Maine Secretary of State's Office tried to get such a law through in 2015 in an omnibus election law revision bill but the presiding committee took it out, and next year (the omnibus bill was vetoed and that veto sustained in 2015) they just asked to get rid of primary contests where there were no candidates on the ballot or qualified write-ins, which went through.  Also, there will be no ballots where there are no such candidates for any offices, so there will only be two Green (Independent) primary ballot types as the only Green candidates this year are one for State Senate and one for State House in a district entirely in that State Senate district.

I just noticed DC has test results up. I bet Reddit will explode with fraud accusations when Hillary wins DC by more than 15 points.

lol, why would you take that personally? Unless you post at r/S4P or something.

Mocking Reddit and their endless accusations of fraud is about as much "sore winnerish" as mocking Dean Chambers and UnskewedPolls.com after 2012.

You can reach the AP here, not that they'd pay any attention to a non-media person: http://www.ap.org/contact-us/general-information

My practice with this thread is to mention the gubernatorial winners as well as the congressional winners, and I'll continue to do that.

Shame that Kevin Cramer doesn't have a primary opponent; I'd be curious to see how well even a total no-name would do. I know I'd probably vote for pretty much anyone against him.

The most exciting races should be VA-2 R, where Forbes is trying to carpet bag after his old district was made 60% dem in redistricting, NV-04 D, where Bernie-endorsed Lucy Flores, Reid-endorsed Ruben Kihuen, and abortion lobby-endorsed Susie Lee are competing for the right to take on Crescent Hardy, NV-03 R, where State GOP leader Michael Roberson faces a challenge from perennial GE loser Danny Tarkanian, and NV-SEN R, where Rep. Joe Heck faces the one, the only SHARRON ANGLE.

So does Honda have a good chance of defeating Khanna in November? The primary numbers didn't look too promising.
