A voter 72 or older, in Ottawa, Missaukee, or Sanilac County, MI. Or someone who appreciates politicians who are straightforward and honest.

Counties are not people. It's perfectly possible that not a single person in that county voted for both Goldwater and Bernie.

old libertarian leaning Republican who is completely turned off by the current GOP field, maybe supported Rand Paul and decides that Bernie is the next best thing since at least he's against the war on drugs.

Libertarian or pseudo-libertarian who cared more about economics in the 60s, and cares more about foreign policy and social policy nowadays.

This is actually a pretty good example (although Clinton was too young to vote then). Probably just someone who had a change of politics more than anything else.

Someone who votes strongly on personal character.

Someone who votes on foreign policy and doesn't have strong views on economics or social policy. Considering the actual constitutional role of the president, this person may be smarter than most of us.

In what world do Barry Goldwater and Bernie Sanders have a similar foreign policy?
