If the GOP establishment try to hand pick a nominee, then the far right will splinter off into another party.
I honestly hope that happens, the far right splinters off and by virtue of that happening, the party moves in a more centrist direction and becomes more appealing broadly
Well first off, the idea that Trump is the right wing of the party and the party will move leftward to get AWAY from him is backwards but whatever, I'll go along with you for the sake of argument.
If the nomination goes to anyone other than Trump, that person, for the sake of the GOP establishment, better sure as hell win. If they deny Trump the nomination, give it to Cruz or Kasich, and Cruz or Kasich loses. Trump has been proven right and either he or a surrogate will be back to take the nomination in 2020.
