DId the Republicans dissolve in the 30's and 40's? Did the Democrats fade with the Reagan Revolution in the 80's? Nope, politics is an ebb and flow and maybe the party will come to its senses after Trump loses to Clinton.

The Republicans might have to shift somewhat leftward like the Democrats had to make a sharp rightward turn during the Reagan/Bush era.

I honestly hope that happens, the far right splinters off and by virtue of that happening, the party moves in a more centrist direction and becomes more appealing broadly
