John Glenn would've done worse than Dukakis, seeing as he was older and goofier

If John Glenn won the Democratic nomination in '88, could he have defeated vice president Bush?

Fixed that

Senator John Glenn/Representative Dick Gephardt 299 EVs - 50.2% PV
Vice President George Bush/Senator Dan Quayle 239 EVS - 48.7% PV

Glenn milks the farming crisis and Bush's conduct during Iran-Contra. Campaigns mainly in Southwest and wins over Hispanic working class vote, which albeit small, was still important in 1988.
