Hard to say... Is Kerry a WWII vet? Is Bush considered a draft dodger? If so Kerry wins in a landslide.

Well, like Wildcar said... It'd also depend whatever Gore had done.
But i agree w/ him. Kerry would rape bush in a landslide

Kerry 271EV, 54%PV
Bush 260EV, 46%PV

Basing this off of the 1952 map and the FDR re-alignment.
Only basing off of ideology, not expirience
Thanks KP for adopting my campaign banner : )

Basing it off the 1952 or 1956 map isn't very useful. Eisenhower would be a complete RINO today.

Republican In Name Only. Sort of like Lowell Weicker in 1988.
The opposite, a DINO seems to be much more common. Zell Miller is a perfect example.

Zell Miller is more of a Democrat than you are.  Or at least what used to be the Democrats.

I'll agree with the last part.  Miller is a pre-1960s Democrat (quite appropriate for this thread I guess), and seems to be the last one left of his kind.  Jfern is more of a McGovern/Boxer Democrat, who have had the most influence in the party since the '60s.

I'd say Zell Miller is ideologically closer to even the present National democrat party than is jfern. I don't wish to try to back this hypothesis for now though...

For his last year in office Zell Miller hada 96 from the ACU, the same as Rick Santorum. He is not a moderate or a populist, he is a far far right winger. He is not close to the Democratic mainstream in any way. And since jfern supported Kerry, he is automatically more of a Democrat than Zell.

I'll have a map up shortly.

What makes you think Kerry would take MT and Bush would take NV?

Back then Las Vegas wasn't so developed and Nevada was a sparsley populated mostly Mormon state and very Republican. However Montana had a strong populist streak (and still does to some extent) and was much less partisan. It was very winnable for Democrats.
