Which of the candidates is running a feel-good, no-worries, take-it-easy-sugar campaign? Lack of mudslinging and harsh rhetoric etc.

My money is on Kasich.

Pretty much. Bernie is running more of a high road campaign, while Kasich is running more of a everything is great campaign, while running more of a high road campaign than the other 3 candidates.

Depends on how you define "optimistic."

Donald Trumpa Trumpa Burnin' Love.

Easily the most relaxed and positive campaign.

Kasich. He literally avoids attacking other candidates--not even personal insults (e.g. "small hands" or "little Marco"--the substanceless stuff Sanders and Cruz are avoiding) but policy- or record-based insults as well.

And it's worked as well as it can in this environment. Jeb! was voluntarily getting into it with Trump, so was Rubio, Graham, and Pataki, while Christie attacked everyone while being perpetually grumpy. Kasich avoided him, which meant that Trump, in-turn, hasn't been as harsh to Kasich as he's been to the others. "Little Marco" hurts, so does "Lyin' Ted." But "the Governor" is an okay nickname--actually helpful.

Whether Kasich consciously realized this or not, this is Trump's campaign, and we're all just living in it. Kasich has evaded The Donald's iron fist, which is why he has obliterated expectations and early poll numbers to make the podium this year, with an outside chance at the nomination via the convention (which is probably the best chance an establishment-aligned governor could hope for).

I would suppose that it would depend on your personal perspective. I would have to say a credible answer would be either Bernie Sanders or John Kasich, Kasich being more nostalgic and Bernie being more, above the fray as far as personal attacks are concerned, and sticking to the issues at hand.

If by "optimistic" you mean "positive", then Kasich and Sanders.

If you however mean being optimistic about that state of America, then Hillary. She;s basically running as Obama's continuation.

How is Sanders running an optimistic campaign when he is constantly angry?
Reagan and Obama ran in far more challenging years and never lost their sunny disposition.
