I'm confused by Hawaii. NYT has more votes on the Republican side there than any other source. Are they wrong?

Maybe? I was lazy with Hawaii and used Leip's numbers, which may or may not be up-to-date. However, I would think his GOP numbers would be updated and even if the Democratic numbers weren't, they would only make it even more Democratic and not less.

While Iowa Republican numbers are widely available through several different sites, Democratic numbers can also be found online.

As per the Iowa Democratic Party's website, Democratic turnout was 171,517 compared to the Republican's 186,932.

So that's a 52.2/47.8 Republican advantage.

I'm surprised that Clinton did so well Louisiana whites, compared to North Carolina and Oklahoma from that map.

Well, it's an interesting map (GOP 249, DEM 62):

If we make a few assumptions for "safe states" (well, LA kind of messes that up) and states that voted on different days and/or with different formats- a significant Republican win, but not as decisive as the first map makes it look (well, it wouldn't shock me for GOP turnout to wind up higher in New Jersey, Connecticut, or Oregon, I guess- maybe even California if Hillary has wrapped up the Democratic nomination by then):

Just added MN & KS. In the case of MN, I did my best to extract the results by county where possible. There were two areas (Twin Cities metro and some outliers, and Lake/St Louis counties) that I combined into single entities since it was here where the boundaries wildly diverged from the counties. Hey, it beats just doing the congressional districts.

If anyone can help me make heads or tails of Carlton County, that'd be great. The GOP has it as its own entity but I can't figure out how where it is for the Dems (it might be part of the St Louis/Lake area, but I'm not going to combine it until I'm sure).

Tonight's contests are being added in real time: most counties have been added in PA, CT, MD, RI & DE thus far. There are a few counties that have not completely reported but are tentatively being shaded, simply because the outstanding vote is so minimal, their totals are firmly wedged in between two gradients and therefore are not likely to shift.

Do a manual refresh if the updated results don't show in the OP; old map may be cached.

Dems are catching up Smiley Any chance that CA/NJ allow us to finish with a vote lead at the end? Unfortunately we aren't going to be able to lead a pretend EV distribution.

Good job. California looks like the 2008 map + Del Norte and Orange. I would put money on the map looking like that sans Del Norte in November.

One minor update: Riverside, CA has moved from the D>50% category to the D>55% category. Other than that, all of the votes counted since Election Night have changed nothing (including the statewide share of ballots that were Democratic, which remains at 69%).

How did the GOP "win" Delaware County, PA in an election that they "lost" statewide?  That wouldn't exactly be Trump's best area either.  Also, the Miami-Dade result is hilarious, but that's obviously because of Marco Rubio.  I also would do something to note the states that went after the GOP nomination was over on May 3.  Finally, Kentucky shouldn't count because it was a case of a primary on one day versus a caucus on another.

There are still a lot of Yankeepublicans here (the inverse of the Dixiecrats in places like WV/KY/LA.) Registered Rs who vote consistently Democratic, particularly in federal elections.

I started on one but all I finished was the Deep South. I have a state-by-state one, though:

I'm not really sure why I included Idaho in these maps. It was just close enough in terms of ratio for me to say, "hey, what the hell?".

I kind of hate the GOP for suspending democracy in CO/ND/WY and ruining maps.

It's also funny that 25% of Cruz's victories were gained through theft. And only 33% were real elections (not caucuses or theft.)
