Absolutely not.  Parents have every right to choose religious schools for their kids.  A ban on private and religious schools would be totalitarian.  Why am I not surprised by the people who support it?

Bono provides reasons. He doesn't just say "it's moving society ahead" to justify his positions.

We have religious state schools over here for most denominations IIRC. Generally speaking you get a better education in 'em IMO.

Ideally, yes, children's education should be grounded in reality and not the spiritual world, but it's a punch in the face to freedom, so I'll say no.
