Meg Whitman is a Republican, the former CEO of Ebay, and has been very critical of Donald TRUMP. She ran for California Governor in 2010 but lost by 13 points to Democrat Jerry Brown.

Locks down California. Doubles down on female strength. Good attack dog. Business experience. Sounds like a good ticket.

Gore might have won in 2000 if hadn't picked DINO Lieberman who later abandoned his party and supported McCain in 2008. Republican light is a really stupid strategy. Picking a Republican VP is even dumber.

Clinton would never put a Republican on her ticket. If there is anyone who actually loathes Republicans, it is Hillary Clinton.

She's made that quite clear. This is a stupid thread.

I like it, although this would be a stupid move politically speaking (this would alienate liberals).

I like Whitman (although I would've voted for Brown in 2010 and Kashkari in 2014).

I would very enthusiastically vote for a Clinton/Whitman ticket over Trump.

Terrible ticket. Terrible idea.

Carly Fiorina would be far superior.

I heard it on Friday's edition of Hardball as well. It would be the equivalent of Barack Obama picking Ann Veneman, former Bush agriculture secretary. A Clinton/Whitman ticket would appeal to independents, but would alienate the Bernie Sanders and Ralph Nader folks. They would probably vote for Jill Stein, but this country desperately needs bipartisanship.

Sadly, this bullsh**t idea of a ticket would not surprise me.

Democrats around the US need to commit to start running a Working Families Candidate in every democratic primary in every single race to challenge this bullcrap.

If Hillary wanted a woman, she has close allies in Klobuchar and Gillibrand who'd do just fine. This is just another product of the Chris Matthews' fantasy chamber. Even Rubio's name was floated around in that discussion...

I could see Hillary choosing a Republican, but it's unlikely.

Gillibrand can't run with Hillary on the ticket.

EMILY's List would rescind the endorsement if Hillary picked a Republican to be on the ticket with her. If she's wanting a woman, I'm sticking with my original premise that Tammy Baldwin would be a great pick (first openly gay person elected to the U.S. Senate and could help excite the millennials, as well as an 08 loyalist). It'd be risky, but could be a game changer.

Neither can Dick Cheney and George W. Bush. Hillary can just "move" back to Arkansas.
