Damn it'd be perfect. That completely applies to Trump too.

No. That doesn't apply to TRUMP and would backfire.

I wouldn't like to see it.  It's really intellectually dishonest, trashy guilt by association campaigning and there are a million billion other ads you can cut with Trump's own words that'll take him down.  Clinton will not go this way.

Hopefully the Clinton camp will be replicating a lot of the LBJ ads from 1964.

"Confessions of a Republican" or some modern take on the Daisy ad would probably be more appropriate.

Plus any ad that contains the word "n***erism" and ends with "I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message" just has failure written all over it.

Yes. Sure. Something similar to this would work.
The narrative fits trump, so why not.

No, I prefer letting campaign surrogates like SuperPACs do the dirty work instead.

She herself should stay positive.

There are some good ideas for ads where Trump's primary behavior would bite back against him:

- Something like this, with clips of David Duke and KKK members endorsing Trump
- Find some crazy Trump quotes that weren't picked up by the media and make an ad out of it

I suspect the more negative anti Trump ads will come from the Super PAC ( like they did with Romney)

No, these kinds of ads are not going to be effective. Clinton is going to beat Trump by making him appear weak and unprepared to be president.

Maybe not the same ad, but something very similiar with soundbites. Overall she could rerun very similiar ads that Johnson ran against Goldwater and they would ring true today. The Daisy ad could be reran.

She should end all her ads "Vote for Hillary Clinton on November 8th the stakes are too high for you to stay home"

IF she wins. She hasn't won the nomination yet. IF she does she can beat Trump (God I hope so). Don't forget Sanders would also beat Trump and polls show him beating Trump more decisively.

Trump's own words can be used against him, remember that. He has done and said horrible horrible things.

This is an excellent video. If she were to use it that might be ok. I don't know if it would backfire.

A Clinton v Trump race would be ugly on both sides. It may be the ugliest election in television history. There have been some ugly races in the pre-TV era.

I don't think it will be 1964 in one respect. Her victory would not be as big as Johnson's, but the comparison is never the less valid. If you're going there, however, don't forget Johnson's albatross, Vietnam.  Do you really want to make that comparison?

Simply making an ad using a few of the really ridiculous things he's said (extra points for contradictory statements) will be plenty effective. There's no reason to try to make him look bad by association--he makes himself look bad enough all on his own.

No, that ad is a little too much. She can take Trump down is so many other ways. She needs to remain presidential while Trump whines like a little kid.
