YES. The right wing tears would be glorious. And a Democratic Senate should have no trouble shoving him through after the BS games the GOP has played with Garland.

Too polarizing and too many conflicts of interest. Obama would make the USSC even more hated.

But in terms of making conservatives cry, then an unequivocal yes

Members of the Supreme Court are permanently barred from traveling abroad. It is known.

Nah. The court already feels too political and illegitimate.

She might consider it, but he won't accept it.

He wants to leave the pressures behind. SCOTUS, if anything, restrains people even more than being President does.

I vote no, as much as I favor the idea on merit, if it's done out of spite because then Hillary would be stooping to congressional Republican levels.

Only way I see Obama on the Supreme Court is if Roberts retires in 15 years or so and a future Democratic President decides that Obama would be a feel-good, warm and fuzzy pick for a new Chief Justice.

It would be fun to see the conservative respond, but no, it would make confirmation unnecessarily difficult, permanently poison relations with Republicans in Congress, further politicize the court, and take Obama out of a useful post-president role. And there are other candidates who would be similar ideologically and are (a little) younger.

I'd rather have professional judges as nominees than politicians. Sure the SCOTUS is utterly politicized already, but I hold dearly onto whatever semblance of professionalism remains at this point.

It's bad enough some people think Bill and Hillary are a dynasty.

This is overdoing it. Barack Obama by himself is not a dynasty.

Most people are tired of seeing the same people in power after a while. If she did this her approvals would fall substantially, doubt she would though.

That's not what the word dynasty means, though.

Everybody gets that. Doesn't change the fact that you should use the right words.

Not immediately, possibly at the next vacancy, nonetheless it'd be better if his name was given something new before he hits the spotlight again.

I know you meant sig, but I'm just imagining there is a tiny man inside of Tony's pet dog, who has behind the scenes manipulated everything that happens in Tony's life, and now you're just breaking the news to him.
