What if Hillary gets problems with FBI and has to drop out with Biden stepping in? Biden wins handily against the Trumpster, but decides to serve just one term due to his age. 2020 is now an open election. Any guesses?

the 2016 election under this scenario:

✓ Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE)/Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ): 359 EV. (52.7%)
Businessman Donald Trump (R-NY)/Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL): 179 EV. (46.1%)

Perhaps a Sen. Kasich could run after such an awful defeat.

I doubt that Kasich would run again.

I think the Democrats would narrowly keep the White House:

Vice President Cory Booker (D-NJ)/Former Governor Kathleen Sebelius (D-KS): 279 EV. (49.97%)
Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI)/Former Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ): 259 EV. (49.14%)
