Massive FF in my opinion.

I think Rocky was one of the best American politicans of the 20th century. Rocky would have been a fine president; he should have won in 1968 instead of Tricky Dick. He's definitely in my top three of failed presidential candidates (along with Wendell Willkie and James Cox).

Are you kidding me? Due to his incompetence as a politician the moderate-to-liberal wing of the Republican Party collapsed and never regained it's political influence.

If you call that a good politics, then you really are deluded.

Sure, Rockefeller Drug Laws and handling of the Attica prison riots were his shining accomplishments.

As of other stuff, let's just say Rockefeller could've done much more, but he viewed the governorship mostly as a stepping stone to the Presidency. The dude was first running after less than two years in office and spent most of his political activities on plotting another runs.

I'm shocked! Absolutely shocked that a politician is ambitious!

That's not the point. He was underwhelming as Governor largely due to getting distracted with perpetual presidential runs and he really screwed as a leader of the GOP's moderate-to-liberal wing. That makes him a piss-poor politician.

I remember when I used to think that, to the point that I once thought him better than LBJ.

This was before I learned about his incompetent leadership of the liberal wing of the GOP, his rather questionable divorce, and other sketchy things.

Mild HP seems about accurate now.

He really wasn't even good as a governor even though Atlas Republicans seem to think he was for some reason?

HP. Had he controlled the GOP, it would be even more controlled opposition than it is now.

I haven't really noticed any Atlas Democrats hyping up Rockefeller the way the odd number of "moderate" and "liberal" Republicans here tend to do.

[Inks]ing horrible.

Oh, and he wanted to demolish my old neighborhood - one of the best, most livable, and most beautiful places in Upstate NY - to build a highway through the middle of Albany. So f*ck him, and thank God that we're mostly rid of his breed of politician.

Where exactly in Albany was this? I suspect it may be near where my best friend currently lives.
