I think Rocky was one of the best American politicans of the 20th century.

Are you kidding me? Due to his incompetence as a politician the moderate-to-liberal wing of the Republican Party collapsed and never regained it's political influence.

If you call that a good politics, then you really are deluded.

Are you kidding me? Due to his incompetence as a politician the moderate-to-liberal wing of the Republican Party collapsed and never regained it's political influence.

If you call that a good politics, then you really are deluded.

Major accomplishments as Governor of New York.

Sure, Rockefeller Drug Laws and handling of the Attica prison riots were his shining accomplishments.

As of other stuff, let's just say Rockefeller could've done much more, but he viewed the governorship mostly as a stepping stone to the Presidency. The dude was first running after less than two years in office and spent most of his political activities on plotting another runs.

I'm shocked! Absolutely shocked that a politician is ambitious!

That's not the point. He was underwhelming as Governor largely due to getting distracted with perpetual presidential runs and he really screwed as a leader of the GOP's moderate-to-liberal wing. That makes him a piss-poor politician.
