If Trump were denied GOP nomination and ran as an independent, and actively campaigned, which states would he be competitive in?

Analize and discuss

Please answer this once and for all, can anyone possibly jump into the race that late and get on any ballots? When is the final deadline?

I don't think he'd be very competitive as a Republican, so I can't really say he'd do well as an independent.

Logistical nightmare. Could probably get on the Ballot in a few states but early petition deadlines and sore loser laws would keeo him off the ballot in many states.

By the end of the convention, all but 11 states would have passed their deadlines.

And how many of those 11 have sore loser laws for presidential candidates?

None. Technically, SD and TX are the only two states with presidential sore loser laws.

What if instead of Trump trying to run as an Independent through accessing ballots, he does a write in campaign. How would that play out?

Silly responses. Obviously he could just buy the ballot line of the Libertarians or something.

I don't think most of Trump's supporters can write.

They certainly can't write "sniveling coward".

And the ones that can write probably can't even spell his name.

Lovely categorising of a group that consists of millions of people folks. How would you react if I were to say that all blacks are unhygienic, all Jews are money grabbers, all gays are AIDS riddled etc.

The libertarians will have already picked a nominee, their convention is in May

It would be amazing seeing any write in candidate win any EVs at all, much less the presidency.

I don't think most of Trump's supporters can write.

IMO this unfunny joke is a sign of the class divide playing out during this year.

My household makes about $25,000 per year. Nice try, though.

So will the Constitution Party. So his only choice is...

TRUMP FOR GREEN PARTY 2016.

As long as Trump fails to get into the White House, at this point I am happy. All else is rounding error. We have very flawed candidates, but Trump is in a class by himself, perhaps the most unfit man since Harding and maybe ever, or at least since Aaron Burr, to have a serious chance to be POTUS.

Trump demonizes all Muslims. He blames them all for ISIS.
He mocks women, and calls Mexicans criminals. Is it ok when one of his white supporters punched a black man in the face as he was being escorted out? The complaints about Trump and his supporters are insane considering what a vicious man Trump is.

Here is the final answer, once and for all (lol).

Summary
370 Trump may theoretically have his name on the ballot
112 Trump must run as a write-in candidate
63 Trump can not appear on the ballot and write-in votes will not be counted
