Someone made a thread earlier on this forum, about a Clark/Dean ticket. Well, to say one word about that thread, I don't think Clark would be STUPID enough to have Dean on his ticket.

However, there has been talk recently of Dean supposedly alluding to Clark, that he wants him to be his VEEP running mate if he is nominated. Clark says that Dean seemed pretty blunt about it, and Dean says that he never really asked Clark.

How many of you think if Dean were nominated, and chose Clark as his VP, would that help his chances in the general election?

I'll keep my comments to myself until others have said their opinion.

Well it might be seen as strengthening Deans's weak foreign policy positions.  The left wants an anti-war candidate in Dean but not sure about having a general then on the ticket.

It would make a play to AR with Clark being a fav son, but I think those states are hurt on Dem side more by having Dean on the ticket as leader.  Plus takes out the graham part of ticket and a play for FL, albut handing it to GOP.

Plus Clark is extremely weak on DOMESTIC issues.

I don't see Dean picking Clark for VP anymore.  Clark's been trying to screw Dean lately - I know, they're enemies in the primary race, but that'll hurt Clark's chances of being VEEP for Dean, I think.

I believe Dean's VP will be Harold Ford, Jr.

There is NO VP choice that will save Howard Dean in a general election.

There is NO VP that can save Dean!

Harold Ford Jr, interesting, but I know he wants to make a run at Senate in 2006, when Frist retires, but a very interesting thought.

Yes, I thought so too.  I read that in some article on Newsmax.com, I think.  I also read that Bob Graham has been trying to get on Dean's good side lately, maybe seeking a VP slot himself.

There is NO DOUBT Graham wants the job.  He also voted against the war, is from FL and was evena bit off in his attacks on Bish ( calling for impeachment, geez-fringe!)

Graham was just so BLAH during his campaign run though,.  Guy has a great political resume, but didn't do anything with it.

Still don't think Dems could carry FL with him, but would make it tougher there.
