Obviously one of them would have to change they're home state residence. Say Cruz takes the nomination at the convention and Trump announces out of spite that he's endorsing his BFF Hillary and then she announces him as her running mate.

That just might be the least popular ticket in USA Presidential history. Anyways would never happen if Clinton made Trump her running mate,the Democratic convention Delegates  would probably vote against Trump anyways.
