This is the worst tournament since world cup 2006. The expansion to 24 teams seems like a bust to me, another failed idea by Platini.
At lest the knockouts were significantly better than the group games. Let's hope that this will hold till the final

i think you're just sore because your team finished dead last in its qualifying group, below the faeroes

Germany is gonna sleepwalk to this title, and I love it!

P.S. @ Americans who watch international, non-US soccer:

Does anyone else cheer (at least somewhat enthusiastically) for the European soccer team of his/her ancestry?  My friends and I are all ardent USA fans first obviously, but for things like EURO or the World Cup once we're eliminated, we all have a friendly type of rivalry with the European teams (i.e., I cheer for Germany, my friends of Irish ancestry cheer for Ireland, my friend who's Italian is a big Italy fan, etc.).

Never underestimate Italy. It's Germany's kryptonite.

Lol, America. JOKE COUNTRY #ItaliaOnly
The 2006 celebrations were fantastic here. It's a shame I was in Boston for the immediate aftermath, but I returned home quickly enough to see.

Well, my ancestry is French, so no. Unless I want to go many generations back to my German, English, and Russian roots, all teams which I occasionally support, but for other reasons.

Yeah, I tend to do that. My great-grandfather was from Abersychan so I'm pulling for Wales atm.

I think a lot of us just like to see our favorite players from our favorite clubs.  For me as a BVB fan there hasn't been a whole lot to watch other than Hummels for Germany, however.  Though I am also a NUFC fan, so there's Moussa Sissoko for France.

Sleepwalk? Against Italy? You must be kidding. The chances aren't bad they will end their losing streak against Italy in big tournaments, but it will be hard and interesting game, anyway.

Can't you avoid being an abrasive asshole even when you're discussing soccer?

I'll answer that one for him: of course not.

'Twas a conjecture, not an attack.

I had a feeling it was gonna be 1-1 (5-3 to Portugal).

This Wales game is making me happy. Last night in the shower, I was convinced this thing was going into penalties.

I'm rooting for a final Wales - Iceland now, because why not? And someone has to kick these strange and unedifying Portugese out.

I haven't been paying much attention to this, but I'll just throw in that Ronaldo is such a little sh**t.

Prediction: Italy will beat Germany. I'll say 1-0.

Other prediction: whoever wins this will win the tournament.
