There's not even any point responding to you anymore, but just to save others the trouble of parsing this, the article only refers to the PNW as white/liberal, and only includes Washington/Idaho in that (Idaho isn't PNW though)

Even more proof that the lamestream media has more than one writer for each decade working for it.

The same world where Hawaii is part of the Pacific Northwest.

Your world, I guess, since that's not what the article says.

Judging from the quote, I have serious doubts they were only referring to Washington.

Analyses don't become irrelevant, if the events analyzed have already occurred. By that logic, all analyses ever are irrelevant. What a dense and defensive remark.

It's not even just this, the framing of questions and coverage on Bernie Sanders with the Corporate media (CNN,NBC,ABC) has been absolutely ridiculous. I noticed a huge amount of that today with them always bringing up the Super-delegates which are irrelevant at this point. Sanders even had to call some of the BS when a "journalist" on ABC said he had to win 70% of the rest of the vote.

If there is something wrong with this quote, it would seem that it refers to Idaho and Alaska as a "liberal" electorate. Where's the outrage over that? Also, it over-reports Bernie's popular vote number in Hawaii and Alaska. This is just sloppy writing, not some conspiracy.

No, they are implying that Hawaii is white. You'd think they'd have the decency to not try to insinuate that the least white state (only 23% non Hispanic white) wasn't suddenly lily white once Bernie won it, but that myth that Bernie only wins whites had to be maintained.

Also non Hispanic whites in Alaska is below the nationwide average, and he won heavily Native areas with around 80% of the vote. And there were some heavily Hispanic counties in Washington that Bernie got 3/4ths of the vote in.

No one in America thinks Hawaii is white, and no one has said Bernie only wins whites. The fact is he has done a lot better with whites and much more poorly with minorities so far. And while he did win big in Hawaii, it was Hillary's best state of the night and a 6.5 point improvement for her over 2008. King County is the most diverse county in Washington, and she also over-performed there, getting 32.6% compared to 27.2% statewide.

Seeing as Bernie didn't grow up in Hawaii and his sister and grandmother still lived there at the time, I think he can be excused for not doing as well as Obama there. Bernie did much better in Washington and Alaska than Obama did.

Adams county is the lowest non Hispanic white percentage in Washington. 36% non Hispanic white, and Bernie got 74% there, better than statewide.

I think any one of those 5 can get a TV interview if they want. And Bernie seems to want it a lot more than Hillary. The question is how much coverage they get otherwise.

FYI, this is what literally every Sanders supporter is parroting on social media right now. It's like some kind of terrible, infected, disinformation-based hivemind that can instantly communicate across all aspects of itself and spread even the most blatantly-stupid commentary with ease. Mass Effect fans can compare it to the Geth.

Since they're having so much damn difficulty reading into context, allow me to hit the Enter key twice:

You can moan about Idaho not being in "the Pacific Northwest" all you want, but that is what was implied. Nobody in their right fycking mind would interpret Hawaii as being in "the Pacific Northwest"...other than a Sanders supporter with pathological paranoia and a persecution complex.

There is a reason why we call him Idiot Canuck.

We have an Idiot Canuck, an Idiot Greek and an Idiot Californian. In other words: we have a diverse population of idiots.

Anyone who thinks the media is totally fair to Bernie is an idiot. That was the main point but i appreciate the insult Smiley

I'll also point out that this stupid meme is comparing apples and oranges: a state's population and a state's electorate can often be two different things - especially in states where you have larger numbers of non-white, non-black residents and when you're comparing that population to a low-turnout caucus that likely drastically over-represents whites.

According to Bernie himself, he accepts the superdelegates' choice and is actively trying to flip them. So they're actually more relevant than ever.

Well duh, you guys just told him he had to agree to the rules so what else would he say?!  That doesn't change the fact Superdelegates are trash.
