Am I crazy for thinking Trump had a good night?  He might have succeeded in putting all the retweet silliness behind him.

I thought he had some good and bad moments. The tweet thing was good but his answer on the three roles of government was one of the worst I've ever heard.

Also milk/Dairy is seasonal?

Kasich showed a little bit of venom when he got questioned about Medicaid.

Boy that Trump supporter is a nervous wreck!

Couldn't watch this unfortunately. What is the assessment of how they did? Did anyone move the needle on the level of support in WI?

Cruz was boring and dodged a lot of questions.  Anderson pressed him hard and in many cases made him look like a fool.

Trump was a little messy and all over the place but overall a good performance.  Anderson chose to press him hard on a minor campaign issue (nuclear proliferation) when what Trump was saying actually did make sense logically.

Kasich did very well and got the most applause.

Doubt it moves the needle as three hours was way too long even for me to watch the damn thing.

Seems like the most significant thing that happened was Trump backing out of the "I will support the eventual nominee" pledge, and saying that he didn't actually expect the other candidates to stick to it either:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/03/trump-takes-back-pledge-to-support-gop-nominee-221363

Seems kind of silly.  He's the most likely person to be the nominee.  If he had stuck to the pledge, he could hold the moral high ground if/when the others back out of it and don't endorse him.  Now he's inviting them not to endorse him.

Why is it silly?     I don't blame him after the entire party is doing everything in its power to nuke his campaign after he beat them (all 17) fair and Square.    Heck he shouldn't have stuck to that pledge of running 3rd party to Begin with.  Look i agree with others hes got flaws that if he don't fix or figure out he cant win simple as that.  But what the republican party is doing is a disgrace.

They forced that stiff A$$ Mitt Romney down our throats knowing he wasn't going to win,but yet he must stop this candidate because he cant win?

Give me a break.

It's silly because he's still probably going to be the nominee, so by saying that the pledge is still applicable he could shame the other candidates when/if they don't endorse him, giving him the moral high ground.

OTOH, if he doesn't win the nomination, he can always renege on the pledge anyway.  At that point, what will he have to lose?

While I didn't watch this, it's hardly surprising really that the endorsement thing is falling by the wayside. I don't any of the three respect each other much at all. In fact, my assumption is that they all actively dislike each other.

Trump is a whiner, the Democratic party has done far more to try to throw Bernie under the bus.

Atleast they haven't spent 100 million in ads attacking him as a socialist or engaged in strategic voting nonsense.

Nice summary of how things went. I agree with everything said, especially the part about it being way too long...

Seems like the media is hailing Cruz as the "winner" and Trump as a failure. So Trump will probably win Wisconsin if that's any indication.
