For this scenario assume that any change made in a timeline has an imediate effect so no saying that you'd change one thing and then the other.

Yes, but you could save countless lives if you don't.

Given all the events the world has been through, it's amazing we have what we have. Why risk it all again?

Let's think this out logically.

According to the setup, I go back in time and kill Hitler as a child and that results in me not existing.

Well, if I get to kill Hitler, then obviously I must still exist since somebody had to kill him. I therefore CAN'T not exist because I had to be born to travel back in time to kill him.

Therefore this question is a paradox and cannot be answered Tongue

I actually believe that I would still exist because my soul would still exist it would just be in a different person. So I could be a radically different person living in a radically different place but I'd still exist. Of course that's just my belief on it.

How did I know a red avatar would vote to Change Time? Hah.

Though, it is an interesting belief.

If I would instantly die right after the event, it's hard to say.

How can I be sure killing Hitler would save any lives? It is entirely feasible that some other dictator would have arisen in Germany and have done pretty much the same.

I wouldn't change any history. For good or for bad, history is history and should be kept as such. Change the future to make things better, not the past on the off chance that it will make things better.

For all we know killing Hitler may have caused Stalin to conquer the world.  What a joy that would be

Actually, this isn't a very good argument. There's always a risk to everything.
