Man, these guys are pretty big liars.  Booker isn't "actively thinking about higher office"?  Yeah, right.  Not that Booker is unique in that regard.  All of the prospective candidates say something like this when asked about a presidential run, and all of them are lying.  Tongue

Who does he think he's fooling?

Regarding the possibility of Evan McMullin or Mindy Finn doing a presidential campaign rerun in 2020 (either in the GOP primary or going Indy again), this from Mindy Finn may or may not be relevant:

McMullin may end up running for Utah office. Finn may run in 2020.

DSA is staging protests against most senators for Trumpcare & for promoting Single Payer. They possibly had one at Booker's office too. Booker is absolutely toxic to the Bernie base !

That would be unfortunate for Booker if he was running for President of the Bernie Party.

Meanwhile, in other New Yorkers who might run for president news, de Blasio has flown off to Germany to join the G20 protests:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fellow-senators-visit-troops-afghanistan-article-1.3300402

elizabeth-warren-Warren is spending Independence Day with the troops (and fellow Armed Services committee members) in Afghanistan.

She went with Sheldon Whitehouse, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham.

Fun fact: Of the incoming class of Senators in 2012, Warren was the last of that group to do an overseas trip.  Her first one didn't take place until near the end of 2014.  But she's on the Armed Services Committee now, so I guess she has to care more about foreign policy.  Tongue

None of whom are likely to run in 2020 or 2024 (unless Whitehouse is doing something I don't know about).

Ugh, so she picks a crazy warmonger and someone who said that the Wall Street money backed Bernie to go with?

Not really. Trump was a grossly unqualified candidate and many voted for her to put country before party but voted Republican down ballot to make sure she had strong opposition in Congress. She needs to stay out of this.

I think its much more likely that Kennedy is going to run for the Senate in 2020; and is assuming he needs a big profile if he's going to have to primary Ed Markey

Yeah Kennedy doesn't have nearly enough exposure to be a candidate with a >50% chance of winning. A senate run or being vp nominee in 2020 would help a lot

None of the candidates have a >50% chance of winning the nomination.
