Iger resigned from President Trump's Strategic and Policy Forum over his decision to leave the Paris Climate Accords.

I didn't know he was on there...

Warren is spending Independence Day with the troops (and fellow Armed Services committee members) in Afghanistan.

elizabeth-warren-Warren is spending Independence Day with the troops (and fellow Armed Services committee members) in Afghanistan.

She went with Sheldon Whitehouse, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham.

Fun fact: Of the incoming class of Senators in 2012, Warren was the last of that group to do an overseas trip.  Her first one didn't take place until near the end of 2014.  But she's on the Armed Services Committee now, so I guess she has to care more about foreign policy.  Tongue

None of whom are likely to run in 2020 or 2024 (unless Whitehouse is doing something I don't know about).

Oh yeah, I know they're not running and Warren is.  I didn't intend for my post to be a criticism of your post or anything like that, so I hope you didn't take it that way.  Your post is exactly the sort of info that should be in this thread.  I was just posting more info for interested readers.

Don't worry, I didn't.

Guys... both Maggie Hassan and Kusty go to New Hampshire quite frequently... are they planning something in 2020???!?

They represent New Hampshire, so of course they go to New Hampshire...therefore that joke is idiotic.

I know it's not really a tea leaf, but apparently the people of Cambridge, Massachusetts are already running Warren for President Tongue

It'll look really stupid if she doesn't run...but she's totally running.

I can't wait to hear your take on other jokes:
"He would only have to say 'The name of the player on first base is Who'... therefore that joke is idiotic."
"Of course the chicken has to cross the road to get to the other side... therefore that joke is idiotic."
"I have a doorbell, so you wouldn't have to say 'knock, knock' if you were at my house... therefore that joke is idiotic."

Actually, I like the "Who's on first" gag, and the chicken crossing the road joke. Knock-knock jokes are idiotic though.

I was confused by that to. I can see him potentially running in a couple of years but that is only if he succeeds Cuomo but that won't happen till at least 2022.

He could theoretically run in 2024 if Schumer retires, and Schneiderman is elected to that seat (but that requires Trump or Pence to win in 2020).

It's not time yet, Joe. Come back in 2036.

It'll never be time for another Kennedy.

I think Kander is just doing all this to keep himself relevant for if he decides to run for governor in 2020.

Unless Greitens decides to Primary Trump for some reason, Kander doesn't have chance at winning. He'd be better off waiting until 2022, when he can challenge Blunt again (and I'm betting it probably will be an open seat anyways).
