I'd vote for Kasich in the primary, and possibly in the general too in the extremely unlikely event that he manages to primary Trump. at the very least, I think Kasich getting even ~20% of the vote in a primary against Trump would basically mean he's almost certain to lose the general election. look at Buchanan '92 or Kennedy '80.
