(Note: I'm 'sick of it' because I think legislative action on this is batsh**t insane, not because I don't think it should be important to trans people or understand why it is.)

Yes. Everything about this issue is stupid.  You don't need to make a fuss because someone uses the bathroom who's the wrong sex as long as they are minding their own selves not bothering anyone.  You don't need to turn relieving oneself into a political statement about gender identity.  And you don't need to go to federal court or make a law about any of this that is just going to make it harder for people to get along and move on with their lives.

I wish we could just quietly accommodate one another but that doesn't seem to be fashionable.

Nope. It's a legitimate public safety concern.

How ought it be legislated?

As I've said many times, this is common sense, something that you shouldn't even need a law to tell you: penises in the men's room, vaginas in the women's room. That's just common sense, and shouldn't even be debatable. So yes, I kind of am sick of the bathroom question. We shouldn't have to pass a law to tell men to stay the hell out of women's bathrooms.

True, forcing trans women to use the men's room does put them at risk of being beaten up.

Exactly.

Is a hulking, hairy muscle bound deep voiced manly man supposed to use the female restroom because he was born with a vagina? I mean, the ideal response to that would be to beat the sh**t out of him for using a woman's restroom when he's clearly a man.

Yes. The only people who seem genuinely invested in this issue are paranoid bigots with disturbing fantasies. Everyone else agrees there's nothing worth legislating about.

More Politicians have raped women and done lewd and vulgar acts in bathrooms than trans men and women.  Should they be forced to use a separate bathroom for the safety of the public?

This is a matter of spite in your case and you very seriously need to work on getting over it, because you are hurting people and making yourself look really really bad.  Im sorry some girl told you off at your LGBT group...but think logically.  Don't make transgenderism about the potty.

God forbid you ever have a daughter who needs to use the bathroom in public at a young age.

Yes. If something must absolutely be done to prevent those without penises getting a peek at those with them pissing, then mandate doors on urinal stalls.

Actually I take back my previous post, I'd totally support a law banning urinals. They're the worst. Regular toilets for everybody!

California has enough water shortages already.
