It looks like the April 14th time slot was rejected because Sanders had already booked a highly coveted, yet to be announced space in Manhattan for a rally that evening (possibly Central Park).

If that is the case, certainly makes sense of why he would have an issue with that date.

Should Bernie pick the questions too? Seems like everyone thinks Bernie should get to pick the state, date, time, and venue for this debate.

And people think it's the GOP that will rip apart at the seams.

The Democratic party isn't ripping apart at the seams. The party has already picked Clinton as the nominee; all of this nonsense is just the thrashing of a soon to be deceased Sanders campaign.

When the biggest controversy on the Dem side is currently debate scheduling, I wouldn't exactly call it ripping apart at the seams.

Sanders proposed 10th, 11th, 12th or 13th for the debate?

And this stupid notion of a the nominee having it easy n Sanders fading away is ridiculous. Hillary's voters are people in old age homes n stuff (a lot of them) - Sanders voters are mostly under 45 - In 4 years, 8 years more n more young people will only come in.

This is the future - The Dem party of the future - And it belongs to Sanders supporters who see through Clinton's dishonesty & for most of them it's Bernie or bust!

People always say they will stay home or waste their vote when they don't get their way in the primaries. Some will, most won't.

Why is Senator Sanders burying this debate on Sunday evening, when no one will watch it? Could it be that he didn't actually want to debate?

Love that the Sanders campaign isn't backing off. The Clinton campaign is an utter mess.

The Sanders campaign must be a bunch of total losers if they're getting crushed by such an utter mess then. LOL

Be careful how you talk to our Canadian troll or else he might get mad and not vote for Hillary in the American general election.

Well, it's a poor choice of words but he has a point. The amount of baggage Clinton has should have made it impossible to win a primary against a credible challenger, and while Sanders is definitely credible, well-financed and a good man with an enticing platform, he clearly didn't understand that not everyone would be as receptive to his platform, and the way he delivers it, as Millennials. He should have tailored his message and platform towards Millennials and older people/minorities. He mistakenly thought a one-size-fits-all approach would work. More so, when it was clear early on that he had a generational voter issue, he didn't really do anything to fix it.

Suffice to say, Bernie's campaign probably squandered a real opportunity through various campaigning missteps.

Think about things before you run your mouth.  Sunday is the biggest night on TV.

That's not what people were saying about the previous Sunday night debate when DWS and the DNC were putting their fingers on the scales.

That's whataboutery and doesn't give you an excuse.

If they were saying that, then they were wrong.  Why do you think all the best shows are on Sunday night?

Sanders is a socialist
Sanders has 0 name recognition - Even in polls 1 week before the elections, most people say they don't know enough
The money is recent - He did not have money to put ads in Super Tuesday outside of 5 states
He has 0 support from the Establishment who have made it 450-20 before it began. These people campaign - Your local mayor to your governor - It influences your opinion
Hillary is a woman
Obama tacitly supports Hillary
Bill was considered to be the 1st Black President.
The DNC has rigged the process with limited debates n stuff

Those are very tough - Insurmountable odds for a 74 old unknown socialist. Why did Biden back out n make such comments against Hillary? Only due to his son's death.

Hillary had the entire establishment support - From Senators to Governors & a sitting VP had 0 support because Hillary was working on these people for quite some time

Money - Hillary's Super PAC & that money is meant to be a deterrence like Jeb Bush & Mitt Romney. It makes it very difficult to win for an outsider.

In the end I would say Sanders may have had some flaws, many infact, but his candidature was historic for multiple reasons & The Dem base will be his for the years to come.

A person who does not practice organized religion, is a socialist, an independent can give this close a challenge to Hillary is a miracle.

I don't know why the first thing you felt the need to do was rattle off a bunch of external reasons when I was specifically talking about internal reasons.

He isn't perfect. His message isn't perfect. His platform isn't perfect. There are issues with all of those things that compounds his bid for the nomination, in addition to what you said. You don't need to jump into Bernie defense mode at the first whiff of criticism.

God. Now we have another jfern.

Bernie accepted an NBC News invitation for an April 10th debate. The 11th-13th are fine with him too.

Hillary can accept one of those 4 days, or show why she has earned her 67% not honest and trustworthy rating.

Clinton's going to be in Virginia fundraising on the 10th per her schedule, so it's probably not going to be then.
