This is assuming that the GOP candidates were the same and the race on that side would be turning out the same, as well as assuming that Obama had no serious challenge for the nomination.

Likely D, at least. He'd probably be heading for a slightly bigger victory than in 2008 in fact.

He'd be polling better than Hillary but worse than Bernie in the general election. Which would mean he'd have a pretty comfortable lead against Trump or Cruz, but it'd be close against Kasich.

He'd be susceptible to almost all the same attacks Hillary is susceptible to from the Bernie folks (and then some!), except none of the attacks would actually be made.

There's little factually incorrect in what he said (though ftr I have little doubt that Sanders' numbers would decline in a GE).

Is Hillary Clinton running for Obama's third term or her husband's third term?  I can never keep it straight.

Safe or likely D. The Trumpster and Cruz would lose badly.

What a pity that’s not the case. I’d love to have him in the race.

He'd have a 20 point lead over Trump in the polls and a 10-15 point lead over Cruz, and would be cruising towards a 3rd Term. He'd likely be facing an ineffective, Kucinich-esque primary challenge, but would have easily overcome it. Oh, how I wish he could run for a 3rd Term. And a 4th. And a 5th.

Oh you! You know the answer here. It's whichever stings the worst when arguing about how Hillary sucks.

They ALL suck.  The Big Con is the idea that somehow Bernie Sanders doesn't.

He would win against all Republicans. TRUMP, Little Marco and Kasich would lose by around five percentage points, Rafael by double digits.

Honestly, Obama is the only person who's ever been able to really beat TRUMP in the political arena, so he'd probably win by about 8 points or so.

Likely D.

Tilt/Lean R against Kasich, though.

Toss up. He's not as popular as you all think, and the undercurrent of anger that is fueling Sanders and Trump is a direct result of him literally doing nothing of consequence after Bush ruined the country. Would he win against Trump? Probably. Cruz? Certainly. Kasich, Rubio, Walker, or Romney would probably make it a repeat of 2012 again-a fairly close election.

Says a lot about our last four presidents. The two Republicans saw one get denied a second term and the other would've been slaughtered if running for a third.

The two Democrats got re-elected, had nice approval ratings and likely would win a third term.

Likely Trump scenario:

310: Obama/Schweitzer(49.7%)
228: Trump/Kasich(47.4%)
Others: 2.9%

Obama faces Trump, who makes it close in the Rust Belt with fair trade policies.

Likely Cruz scenario:

358: Obama/Crist(54.3%)
180: Cruz/Daniels(44.4%)
Others: 1.3%
