Hilarity ensues and she responds with more spin than a top:

Honestly, I don't get the criticism of superdelegates.  While I agree that most of the delegates should be chosen through the primary and caucus process, I don't think that it's unfair to let elected officials who are party leaders have a say as well.  (And their votes should be equal to a pledged delegate, not greater).  Plus, superdelegates can change their vote before the convention, and have in the past, especially when it became clear who the presumptive nominee would be.

There are far more pledged delegates on the Dem side than there are superdelegates.  So the vast majority of the delegates are selected by voters, not the party.  If anything, I think that the GOP should (and probably will) add some superdelegates of their own to mitigate the effects of candidates like Trump in the future.

It's similar to the argument against the Electoral College, but this is in the party so it's not like a general election.   I think they don't want a repeat of 1968 in the Democrat side, or what might happen this year at the RNC.  But, superdelegates switched from Hillary in 2008, they could again.

I fail to see how she spun around like a top, and I hate DWS as much as anyone.

"Are you rigging the election?"
"hahahahaha no"
"But superdelegates, which you didn't create, aren't they undemocratic?"
"Yeah but I didn't create them"

Her last quote is trying to take the blame off herself. If she were more responsible she would push to get rid of super delegates and caucuses.

The narcissist is losing almost every primary.
The narcissist is losing the popular vote in a landslide.
The narcissist is losing actual Democrats in every primary (except for a slim victory in NH).
The narcissist is losing key racial demographics by overwhelming margins.

If anything, he's c**kblocking himself with his own mediocrity.

Just to be clear Hilary Clinton won Democrats in 2008.

Actually it's the Democratic primary electorate that's cockblocking Bernie Sanders.

No. Super delegates are worse. Every state should be a closed caucus system.

So in summary, the reason Sanders people think DWS is corrupt and helping Clinton is because she didn't get rid of superdelegates, which had been around for 44 years before this cycle?

Not so much that. More like the fact that there were only six debates.

I think the spin comment was more about:

TN: "Hey DWS are you cockblocking Bernie?"

DWS: "No, and let me just say Republicans are evil and have acid for blood. Also the Republicans are hurt by having debates because they are Republicans. I would never limit debates."

Weren't we whining on Atlas a few weeks ago that there were too many debates and we were tired of them and not going to watch them anymore?

The situation with the debates were disgraceful, half of the debates being on weekends and competing against sports events was clearly intentional. And then basically having the campaigns being forced to take the debate situation into their own hands was another sign of incompetence.

Six debates is more than enough. How many times do you think should the general election candidates debate?

What new information turns up in the 7th, 8th, 9th, etc., debates?

Not to mention that the founding fathers created the Electoral College, so obviously they didn't think it was undemocratic.
