What would the 2016 election look like between Bernie and Rick Perry?

I can't give you a concrete answer. Perry might mess up like he did in 2011 and drive his campaign down to the ground, allowing Sanders to get a close win as long as he's willing to court at least some support from the more centrist faction of the party and effectively court minority support for GOTV.

Perry might be a close victory if a centrist like Bloomberg runs and steals moderate middle class voters from Sanders.

Here's a 2000-esque senario in favor of Perry:

With Nevada as the stolen state like FL was.

This is probably wrong because frankly I've pushed Perry out of my mind by now.

At what point will people get that Comrade Sanders is incapable of winning and quite possibly literally insane?

Yes, however Perry must have been clearly born with some sort of learning disability...

Nonsensical predictions like this would only undermine the already very weak Perry. Do you not remember "Oops"?

Or maybe the real problem is that you can't imagine wide support for Sanders because it contradicts your worldview. He's not the greatest candidate but he'll win states like NY, MA, and MN without issue against a sympathizer of Texan nationalism.

Perry is not Reagan and if Sanders were an extremist socialist He would leave Dems primaries after NH.

Sanders wins with 50-51%. Perry is far too weak a candidate.

Sanders takes this, as he would against any other Republican.

Bernie easily, a dunce like Perry would lose in a landslide to any Democrat, let alone Sen. Sanders

Sanders/Warren- 383 Electoral Votes (53.94%)

Perry/Bush- 155 Electoral Votes (44.57%)
