Curious as to how people answer.

I play both and when I PI I usually do the 2016 expanded campaign where Pataki, Everson and Gilmore, Chafee, De La Fuente, etc., are added and usually play as Cruz or Santorum (for the lulz) and it turns out interesting results, although the general election needs to be tweaked (every state plus DC is solid R when I do this)

with PF+P I like some of the gubernatorial races like Texas, Florida, Michigan and New York.

I tried it but it has some problems. For one thing, it's not polished well. For another, when I simulated some elections (with me either being Bloomberg or a separatist party only being on the ballot in a non-EV territory and not campaigning) every time it was the 2012 election with the pacific northwest trending R for some reason. This is even when the two candidates made it interesting beforehand.

I play it for the primaries tbh, and to do interesting ahistorcal situations (Christie in 2012, Cuomo in 1992, Macarthur in 48) It's a very good game, and by far the best I've seen. It's got the hard task of allowing both change, and stability. I mean if you said in 06, that Obama could beat Mccain and win Indiana, NC and NE-3 you'd be laughed at

No, I've played previous incarnations, but they're a bit too much work for me to pick up again. I occasionally play the Political Machine.

OF COURSE! I have all the scenarios available, 1788 - 1956, + '80, '92, '00, and '04. Plus the ones you start with. I'm working on making a '88 one with 45 candidates and with a pretty boss realism factor.

Yeah, I have the '08 game, and I'm planning on getting the new one in the next few weeks (as a birthday present for myself Grin).

To be fair, McCain was over 55% in NE-3 in 2008.

I have both but play Forever a lot more. It's easier to manage. Infinity is probably more accurate but takes longer what with all the targeting of ads. I also find the mechanics of Infinity a bit confusing and prefer the presentation of election night on Forever.

I have PI, but usually observe instead of play.
